Devils advocate: Two tech companies building a surgical robot have similar job postings for technical positions. Is that really a coincidence?

My gut feeling: Verb is not our partner. If they were, it would of been announced by now. What is a reason to keep it secret? So their mutual competitors don’t join forces against them? If Titan and Verb were collaborating, the major players in robotic surgery would know about it anyway...they would find out somehow through industry contacts. I’m sure many insiders close to Titan/ Verb have wanted to know this and have pried for information. I just don’t see a secret this big being kept for this long.

An additional concern about all this Verb talk is that, the more we hype up the potential of a partnership, the more disappointed we will be when/if we find out they aren’t a partner. It may get to the point where Titan’s announcement of their software partner may end up being seen as a negative PR which would hurt share price.
