BenK: I was not suggesting a "direct investment." I do not know the investing criteria / limitations of the Gates Foundation or any other non-profit; but there may be structures available. If "profit" is an issue, the likes of Berkshire Hathaway and others could snatch this up and run with it, with their connections.
