Hey Alpha, welcome to the club!
FRED has been very good to me as a short term trade. I like to buy 4 or 5 thousand shares and turn them after they rise a few percent. FRED does this quite often. I did get caught a few weeks ago as the price dropped but, it will go back up again soon. I am sure of this.
You're right, FRED is an ongoing concern and doesn't appear to be going anywhere. So, I think it's even a good buy and hold and we should see this back over 5 sometime this spring in my opinion.

I invest in companies that I think will make me money. And everything I say is just my opinion.
