1) is the patent blatently obvious and if it is goto step 2 , if not it dosnt apply
2) although obvious, does the patent add something new that was less than obvious.

In my view, applying Geofilter overlays to social media images for advertising or any other reason is not obvious. The fact Unitedcorp had to fight so hard for the patent in the US, with Snap throwing the kitchen sink to stop it going through should be evidence enough for that.
I have massivly simplified the patents purpose, as the actual implementation is quite complex. Interesting Tho.
