His first fund??? BRK-A and BRK-B are two stock classes in the same company, Berkshire Hathaway (it's not actually a fund). The two classes rise and fall almost exactly the same.

Regarding IPOs, most are poor investments which is why Buffett doesn't buy even the best of them. Given what you know about stocks, you'd almost surely buy into a scammy IPO.
