Probably for the same reason a dog licks itself.

"MJX" used to be a Latin American Real Estate holdings ETF, yet the simple "MJ" seems rather self-explanatory. Maybe they simply wanted to eliminate any confusion. Go to the fund's website and ask them to be sure.
