If the purpose of virtual currency is to avoid central government regulation then why are central governments attempting to regulate it?

Once there were a couple of floor traders. One named Izzy. The other named Abie.

They were trading tins of sardines.

One day Abie decided to open a tin.

"These sardines taste terrible!" he says to Izzy.

And Izzy says, "Those aren't the eating sardines. Those are the trading sardines."
