Hi PP - very good question/ observation……… imo very doable (rate limiting step …probably $$$).

Here’s an example ……increased serum level half-life
…Our body produces Epoetin Alfa/beta has a half-life of 5-6 hours

……Amgen under the trade name Aranesp -is a re-engineered form of erythropoietin containing 5 amino acid changes (N30, T32, V87, N88, T90) resulting in the creation of 2 new sites for N-linked carbohydrate addition. It has a 3-fold longer (~16 hours)serum half-life compared to epoetin alpha and epoetin beta

………Roche/Genentech under the trade name Mircera - has a half life of 12 folds (~65 hours).
