This is why Etrade (and other brokers)just raised their margin requirement to 100%. I have huge margin but NEVER USE IT.

Never hold short trades or margin overnight,especially when dealing with aything related to the VIX or anything for that matter.

Also,Many ETN/ETF's are closing down,too many and people take on too much risk with them.
