$CAFD 8point3 Energy Partners (NASDAQ:CAFD) agrees to be acquired by P-E firm Capital Dynamics for $12.35/unit; trading is halted.

The companies say the deal for CAFD - formed in 2015 as a joint venture between First Solar (NASDAQ:FSLR) and SunPower (NASDAQ:SPWR) - represents $977M in equity value and $1.7B in enterprise value.

The Capital Dynamics Clean Energy Infrastructure business invested in 1.1 GW of solar projects in 2017 and is one of the world's largest specialized renewable energy investment managers.
