Yeah, in the case of Instagram / FB, a licence agreement would be better for both sides. A protracted legal battle is in nobodys interest.

SNAP is different, in that their infringement is revenue based. A legal settlement would provide far for income than any licence deal. I still feel this could end up been a company termination event for them. If we win in Canada, and start proceedings in the US, their investors will bail well before any US case could be settled.
