Just because someone mined a Bitcoin for $5,000 or whatever the price, doesn't mean it has a value of $5,000, or that it can even be sold for a profit.

Miners in the gold industry can mine for whatever price they like, but it doesn't mean they'll be able to sell their extracted gold for the mining costs + some mark-up.
