They may not be. I sure suspect that many are and that VFIN was selling a whack of them for someone. They have a reputation for that sort of thing.

A warrant isn't a restriction by the way, it's the right to buy a stock at a certain price until a certain date, when exercised, new common shares are issued by the company to cover the transaction. Usually they have a long term limit with an exercise price higher than the current price when issued.

Warrants sometimes trade on their own.
