The only way I see the cell ever being relevant again is like ImpishGrin mentioned, maybe someday one of the Chinese manufacturers will attempt to use the technology. Since SUNW owns the patent then there will be a license fee involved. China does lead the world in solar panel manufacturing afterall, so maybe.. just maybe.. it could happen. But don't hold your breath.
