Marijuana Mania What is it and how could it effect Sipp. And why I think as long as cannabis is a Controlled Substance of any type, there will be large ups and downs for SIPC and the whole cannabis sector in general. Just for the simple reason big money won't jump on the cannabis bandwagon until all uncertainty is removed. The cannabis stock index has been tracking the cannabis sector since 2013. I'm not sure when The Marijuana Index started so I don't use that. The Cannabis Index reached 1000 in 2014 mania. It started 1-1-2014 and peaked on 3-18-2014. And Bleed off all spring and summer and into 2015. A few bumps since then but nothing sustained until about two months ago. If we have another mania starting and the index is at 174.02 its a long way 1000. IMO GLTA
