Maybe I am not as informed as you, but in my 37 years on investing I have NEVER seen a secondary offering subscribed to by ONE party and used to take over a company. EVERY buyout I have ever seen was either negotiated with the company directly or the result of a “hostile takeover”....and both of those are still subject to a shareholder vote. But I guess anything is possible....wait...no..your scenario isn’t possible.
