Keep in mind, PR firms are hired for dealing with the good as well as the bad. I believe he was brought in to help craft a long-term communication strategy that began with the last shareholder call. They knew they had missed timelines and that their current status was not going to be well received. However, they also knew that although they had the set backs that they were on the brink of something big. My post back then was dismissed as naive, and maybe I am (a noob after all), but I think the overall strategy was to get all bad news out of the way then pave the way for a run of good news leading up to and including the IND.

In any regard, we will find out soon enough. I too am hoping we are now on the brink and 12 years from now I will not still be crossing my fingers. ;)
