Yeah I see the logic for diversifying, but if you're playing this game close enough you should really plan your strategy properly. If he was thinking about diversifying he could have sold just at the gap down and diversified then OR keep a portion of the portfolio liquid for juicy opportunities.

My general rule is about 5-10% liquid far dramatic down gaps.

I suppose everyone has their own strategy. Just my two cents.
