would be expected, a first year audit can be difficult especially since both 2016 and 2017 need to be audited, so its pretty much 2 years worth of audits wrapped in one for a company that has never had an audit before.

And since they don't have proper controls or documentation as they are a first time audit client many of the normal procedures cannot be performed and alternate procedures must be done. I have been on an audit like this beofre and it sucks

And its not in the company's hands, its in the auditors hands, they are done when they are done and there is little the company can do about it except to provide the information that is being requested
