Finjan and Blockchain?

It began with an article on their blog in 2016:

https://insights.samsung.com/2016/03/17/block-chain-mobile-and-the-internet-of-things/

Then there was an update last summer:

https://www.finjanmobile.com/mobile-devices-and-blockchain-technology/

"ADEPT (Autonomous Decentralized Peer-to-Peer Telemetry) is an idea floated jointly by Samsung and IBM for providing secure and cost-effective interactivity between various devices. The proposed framework uses blockchain technology to create distributed networks of devices (sort of miniature IoT subsets) with their own secure databases and authentication protocols for negotiating “contracts” and “transactions” between the devices they include."

In full disclosure... Finjan denied involvement in blockchain. Then why do they keep bringing it up as the coming thing in the businesses they are pursuing? I believe they have their eye on acquiring a company with a headstart in this space and they want to downplay it for now and keep the acquisition price low. You don't want to show your hand and admit they are very interested. Not making things up for a baseless pump. There really is a blockchain connection in what Finjan does and the businesses they are pursuing.

After they denied a blockchain correlation, they went on to talk about a recent conversation with their founder where he aid there were many similarities to blockchain and their pioneering security enhancements. I think there is more to this than they are currently letting on.
