Nasdaq 'investigating' bitcoin futures

Without giving a potential timeline, Nasdaq (NASDAQ:NDAQ) said it was "investigating the idea of cryptocurrency futures," following similar launches by rivals CBOE and CME Group (NASDAQ:CME).

"What we might look at is more of a total return futures, so it's a little bit of a different construct," CEO Adena Friedman declared, adding that the product would be "more of an investment than a tracking stock."
