Yep if anything, all this recent China uncertainty does is promote real fear/uncertainty/speculation that the company in China that appears to have been set up by Dr. Odidi himself for manufacturing, may not have any immediate benefit to IPCI's s/h's and/or ties to IPCI's publicly traded company.
So if that translated article mopar found is accurate...it appears that Dr. Odidi himself formed Smart Pharmaceuticals Shanghai way back in May 2017 as a China manufacturing company...and then recently signed a deal with a China based distribution company which may eventually result in a benefit to IPCI and its shareholders if/when the China based distribution company starts making sales of any IPCI generics like Glucophage or Keppra.
That could explain why there's been no news put out by IPCI whatsoever yet?
No matter what the deal in China is, it's downright silly for IPCI not to be immediately informing their s/h's of what that deal really consists of and what it may or may not mean for IPCI's s/h's now that the info including photographs of the contract signing has been put out there.
And as your post perfectly illustrates is a shining example of why the uncertainty surrounding IPCI continues to abound because there's no logical reason why Dr. Odidi would green light an article for Nigeria based readers but leave s/h's in the dark and gossiping about what it all really means for IPCI themselves and IPCI's s/h's.
Depending on when that China contract was signed/executed...NAZ companies have a 48 hour window to report material events. Maybe it's a 72 hour window I cant remember but it's definitely 1 of the 2. So maybe we're still within the 48 to 72 hour window IPCI has b4 they must report material events...I just don't know!
