Hsinchu, Taiwan, Jan. 5, 2018—Wistron NeWeb Corp. (WNC) will showcase its wide array of applications as “Intelligent Broadband Access & Networking Solutions”, including themes such as intelligent broadband, the smart home, advanced driver assistance, and the IoT at this year’s CES beginning Jan. 9, 2018.

To prepare for the 5G IoT era, WNC is using its optimized intelligent-system software to integrate wireline, wireless, fiber, and copper-wire network technologies and develop reliable, high-speed communications products. These products enable customized services and high-quality software solutions for various operators. WNC has already developed millimeter-wave antennas for the 28 GHz, 39 GHz, and 60 GHz bands in anticipation of products using 5G technology (including CPEs), enabling operators to quickly introduce these new solutions as the market develops. WNC’s compact antenna test range (CATR) chamber will be capable of accurate and efficient testing and calibration of 5G product performance for its clients.

In the smart home, a fast, ubiquitous, and easy-to-use Wi-Fi Mesh Network has become a necessity. This is due to the popularity of mobile devices and increasing demand for high-quality streaming video. WNC’s mesh network products include routers, extenders, and management software. Intelligent software creates a mesh network that is self-managing, self-optimizing, and automatically connects devices to optimal nodes. In addition, WNC’s smart antennas boost Wi-Fi signal strength and expand coverage, creating a high-speed Wi-Fi environment in the home with no dead zones.

For advanced driver assistance, WNC will showcase an OBDII tracking device that uses cellular communications technology and GPS for real-time monitoring of travel conditions and driver behavior. Coupled with IoT services, its stored data are used in innovative applications in automotive communications systems.

WNC will also demonstrate its new E-mirror and automotive camera module. This module contains a one-megapixel CMOS sensor with HDR support, giving it excellent image-capture capabilities even in challenging backlight conditions. The camera module has night-vision enhancement technology and a significant increase in the field-of-view compared to traditional rearview mirrors. It is also equipped with flicker-minimizing technology to deliver crisp and clear images to drivers.

WNC’s Bluetooth low energy technology tracking device utilizes low-power networks to track and collect data from the industrial and consumer IoT. The information collected for use in big-data analysis enables solutions providers to offer new applications and services. In addition, WNC has developed its IoT Hardware Development Kit (HDK) for a standardized module that helps IoT product manufacturers reduce development time.

The smart home, advanced driver assistance, the IoT, and software optimization all require reliable and high-speed network connectivity. WNC provides intelligent residential, automotive, and enterprise broadband solutions, bringing convenience to the lives of people around the world. Visit the WNC exhibition booth at the 2018 CES for a look at these exciting products and experience the new world of 5G.
