Correct you are. Everyone, and I mean everyone, fails to look past the Fannie and Freddie "got in trouble and had to be bailed out" manure. Everything has a cause and effect yet nobody will look past the "got in trouble and had to be bailed out" to determine the perpetrators. Of course it could have been a poorly executed business plan or poor management but that was not the cause. It was a scandal by the large banks and lenders who felt safe in its execution because Washington had already been bought out and in the pocket. As of 01/22/2018, it's low key but still an ongoing scandal and I don't know if justice will ever prevail.
