I think the more practical application of this tech is insurance premium reductions. A large insurance provider reduces your insurance rates if you place this in your car. You put an app on your phone and it locks you from distractions in a way that can not be overrode (by truing off the app) or removing the device or your provider is notified. Now you have an incentive to use it and save on car insurance. Also using this for UPS, Fedex, school bus drivers... employee policy can stated it has to be enabled, they can tell if it is disabled and you can be fired... The built in smartphone way of locking devices can be overridden because you are not always the driver.
I want to read more on this or if someone can answer. Does GPS and hands free calling still work?
