Jan. 19--Where was Rico the black kitten this morning? CC the Calico Cat emerges from underneath the trailer as I walked up the drive to the greenhouse. The story has a happy ending. I decided to walk to the corner of the lot. I called for him, sat on the steps to the straw trailer, and a few moments later, he meowed.

He followed me to the patio for something to eat in the greenhouse. CC was asleep on her chair. I walked over to sit in a chair in the sun and I heared him meowing. He jumped in my lap and purred. That went on for about an hour. He would jump down to investigate something, then jump up again.

More good developments. Harley, the welder, drove up and bought the last two jars of pickled green tomatoes. Each for $5. Best he's ever eaten. He wants more this season, plus pickled cukes. He told a story about a lady who died years ago at age 97. She made pickled cukes with little white ones, just vinegar and salt.

I've grown white cucumbers in past seasons. You don't have to peel them.

The Nasdaq's third tier, the AMEX can be just as bad, and last but not least, the OTC, it seems, are financial venues that reward failure.
