Agreed. I reread my comment after I posted it and I realized I probably wasn’t being clear that I know they’re not actually the same thing. I just didnt get, and still don’t, why you were talking as if they were independent of each other when bitcoin operates on the blockchain, albeit an outdated and inefficient one. And not only that, bitcoin is the reason the idea for a “blockchain” was created in the first place.

While they’re objectively not the same, they are essentially synonymous.
