$TAT TransAtlantic Petroleum (NYSEMKT:TAT) +5.7% premarket after saying it formed a strategic committee and has hired Tudor Pickering Holt as a financial advisor to market the company and explore strategic alternatives.

Also, TAT says it has launched a new drilling program in Turkey and estimates rig mobilization will be completed and a new well will spud in the first week of February.

TAT also is continuing to evaluate its prospects in the Thrace Basin in Turkey following recent positive production test results at a nearby exploration well operated by Valeura and partner Statoil.
