You're mistaking the block-chain tech. with the crypto currency mania. Those are two different animals IMO. As little as I know about the whole thing, the block chain tech is the format from which the tech is founded.

I assume Bitcoin and most of the other crypto currencies have block chain workings, but that doesn't make them a valid currency. IMO the biggest trait for any currency is it's acceptance and it's been proven even Bitcoin isn't that universally held or accepted.

The block chain tech may survive, but most of the crypto currencies won't IMO.
