I called FINRA (301-590-6500) and found out that if something is processing, they cannot discuss it. www.otc.finra.org releases information about name changes to the public. The agent I spoke to said that GMUI was still trading under that symbol so apparently if they submitted the paperwork, it has not been approved yet. However, due to certain complexities, the process can take months. Here are some of the guidelines: http://www.finra.org/industry/web-crd/broker-dealer-name-guidelines. Personally, I think they did- but there is nothing solid behind my feeling. It is quite possible, these delays are not unusual for companies needing a name change. There are a whole bunch of considerations and rules.
