Yesterday we broke all of the heat records for January here. It hit 67* at the official recording thermometer. Today is 53* with the winds winding up and rain in the forecast for the next few days.

Went out and walked the gardens today. Raked some leaves off of the primroses and found that one of the Hellebores is already starting to bloom. Since there was so much actual day job work from September to New Years- I am a good 2 months behind on fall clean up and Spring prep. Looks like my late winter-early spring camellias are going to put up a good show this year. Rhodies, for the most part look to be a so-so year and it's too early to tell on the azaleas.

Sure is nice to be outside for awhile though.
