Hey north...I was just reading how long $1,000,000 would last if you retired with that size nest egg...In Hawaii you would burn through that in 11 years and 11 months...But in Missouri you would get 26 years and 4 months.. Sounds like you found the right spot to retire in.. I think in Oregon if you did not have to pay any income tax you could make that last around 14 years and 7 months. One reason is property taxes are so high here. They base it on market value and no matter what the market is doing it always seems your house is worth more than you could ever sell it for.
