Yes, I my wife had the charge an I had a surge. We both got warranties. I returned mine 5 times over 2 years due to the wristband always tearing up. I would even put it in my pocket at the slightest chance of water, even then 3-5 months it would be wreaked. Similar with my wife, she even change to the new charge 2 thinking they would fixed the issue, or you could swap out the bands. But the bands cost $100, almost as much as the watch.
I got an ionic 6 weeks ago, no issues so far. Since they say you can swim with it, I am guessing that issue is resolved. Also the bands are much cheaper, $20 I believe.
The only issue was when you first get the watch, it requires a massive install. It took three days trying 6 different devises—windows, android, iPad—for it to work. It would get to 95% and fail every time. I tried Bluetooth instead of WiFi took 24 hours, same issue. I saw several posting with the same issue, some taking it back. I finally got it with my iPhone. Works great after that!
