A Presented at the 20th Annual Meeting of the European Association of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery and the 14th Annual Meeting of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Stockholm, Sweden

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas, Oct 03, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- CSMG Technologies, Inc., (OTCBB: CTUM) a technology management company focused on commercializing human live tissue bonding devices and renewable energy landfill gas production systems, announced the results of its Live Tissue Connect subsidiary white paper at the 5th joint meeting of the 20th annual meeting of the European Association of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery and 14th annual meeting of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Stockholm, Sweden September 9-13, 2006.

Dr. Olexander Linchevskyy, a lead clinical researcher at Hospital 17 headed by Dr. A. Makarov, Kiev, Ukraine, presented a white paper on Live Tissue Connect's welding/bonding technology being utilized in lung surgery and problems of air leakage in Lung Surgery while undergoing resection surgical procedures on the lungs. The paper presented by Dr. Linchevskyy is titled "Welding of Pulmonary Tissue in Spontaneous Pneumothorax Operation Without Stapling."

At the meeting there were 600 active participants from around the world, with 261 scientific reports by nearly 1,000 authors and approximately 100 medical companies presenting device, mashes, and sealants for air leakage. Oral presentations were made by surgeons and researchers from every major country in the world with special recognition to 5 leading surgeons from USA, France, Austria, Italy, and Poland. Of all the scientific paper submission from the countries of the Former Soviet Union, the tissue welding report was the only one accepted and selected for oral presentation accepted for the conference.

"There were many questions regarding procedures and technology both during the presentation and privately after the presentation. Many of the participating surgeons seemed excited to learn of the new technology and procedures," said Dr. Linchevskyy.

Donald S. Robbins, president and CEO of CSMG, said, "We are very pleased to have been accepted and have the opportunity to make our first international presentation at such a prestigious meeting. The paper being presented and interest shown after the presentation is indicative of the tremendous strides Live Tissue Connect is making to address the critical need of surgeons, and their patients, to have a highly effective device that allows human tissue to be connected quickly and efficiently, without the use of sutures, glues, sealant or staples. Our devices have been used in more than 70 types of open and laparoscopic surgical procedures. We believe the global surgical and medical communities see the versatility of the tissue welding technology. Presentations before such professional societies continues to raise our visibility and credibility within important groups of healthcare professionals. We are continuing to develop our technology, and procedures. Additionally the meeting provided our researchers the opportunity to compare the superior results of the tissue welding to presentations and demonstrations made by competing technologies."

About CSMG Technologies' Tissue Welding/Bonding Technology

Surgeons at 10 Ukraine hospitals and clinics are using the tissue welding/bonding technology in clinical trials. They have completed more than 6,000 human surgeries using more than 70 types of open and laparoscopic surgical procedures, demonstrating the technology is universal in its ability to repair soft biological tissue. These surgeries included lung, neuro-surgery, nasal septum, intestine, stomach, skin, gall bladder, liver, spleen, blood vessels, nerves, alba linea, uterus, bladder, gynecological, fallopian tube, ovary and testicles and dura-matter. Cosmetic surgeries conducted with this technology include breast reduction, breast implants, mastopexy and abdominal plasty. The procedure involves little or no scarring, while restoring the normal function of the body organ or tissue.

The technology was invented and developed at the internationally renowned E.O. Paton Institute of Electric Welding, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Kiev, Ukraine, headed by Professor B.E. Paton. U.S. and Australia patents have been issued, a patent in the European Union has been approved, and additional U.S. and foreign patents are pending.
