gfp, as to Energous, it is an interesting story -- well, wireless re-charging of smartphones, tablets, etc. is -- but they're not as far along as I thought they were, some of their claims appear to be exaggerated, and a lot of things have to go right for them to succeed. At this stage, I'm reminded of PolyMedix.

They do claim to have some large-scale potential partners --

Steve Rizzone (CEO) --

"Yes. Again, we're very, very fortunate in that the technology and the interest of the technology is such that we have a number of strategic partners that are interested in engaging. As we mentioned last time, we have two of the largest consumer electronic companies in the world now focused on the opportunity."

They will be presenting at the 20th Annual Needham Growth Conference next Wednesday, Jan. 17th so we may be getting some significant updates then.

Here's some more info --

Apple and, I'm sure, other companies are working on wireless ecosystems as well so there will be significant competition in this space.

I'm trying to gear my investment strategy into a different category of stocks -- companies with low valuations, low P/E's, and those companies that are making money, are profitable. I own some AMAT and DAL.

As to gold and silver -- they haven't done anything over the last 5 or 10 years except to go down, right?
