There is extensive history for Madeleine Tapia that was revealed by Madeleine to the Keiretus Forum Due Diligence Team. She was investigated by the FBI during the time her son-in-law, Greg Anderson, was under pressure by the FBI because he refused to testify about whether he gave illegal drugs to Barry Bonds.

The stated intention of the FBI was to find money laundering by Greg using Madeleine’s companies and to prove that Terra Card Services was not a real company. The FBI questioned Madeleine and many of the major shareholders. The story is quite extensive with much adverse publicity during their investigation.

Madeline Tapia is using her maiden name currently. During her first marriage she used her married name of Gestas. As a widow, she now uses her maiden name, Tapia, after her marriage to Singleton

The Keiretsu DUE DILIGENCE Team interviewed five other people who were
shareholders during the time frame of this FBI investigation, all of whom confirmed that Terra Card Services was a real company. It is important, of course, to say that Madeleine Tapia was never
accused of anything illegal.

OPINION: The DD Team has agreed that this flexibility by Madeleine
demonstrates a willingness to both be coachable as well as step
aside from the President’s title for the good of the company even though she never did anything illegal. We performed interviews of shareholders who were present while the FBI was investigating Madeleine and they all report the same story as well as being effusively complementary of Madeleine’s skills, dedication and commitment. We interviewed the CEO of Teletienda who spoke with emphasis saying he felt he needed to vet
Madeleine’s history extensively. He said he found nothing impeding
him from continuing business relationships with confidence and
pride in her actions. He also reported all the same things about
Madeleine as a person as everyone else has. We did a background
check on Madeleine which showed several financial failures and several successful businesses but no personal liability for corporate debt. Madeleine could have filed bankruptcy because of the personal financial difficulties of being investigated by the FBI as well as having several of her businesses go broke along the way. Her willingness to keep going is because she does want to pay all of her creditors ultimately.
