Traditionally it has trended up through comment periods and then mellows until actual announcement. Except this announcement means it's a go/no go. But at this point even the most hardcore opponents are basically admitting it's a done deal. Yes, they will WASTE time and money with lawsuits but to no avail. Dems are touring the north to secure votes that they have squandered through this process. They now come with promises that "you are not forgotten" "you are special". All because they have filled their campaign coffers with hard left enviro's money and now they ACTUALLY need the votes from the hard working people of northern MN. I believe the Dems WASTED their political capital while they played both sides poorly. Old school politics of appeasing everyone by using double speak and saying one thing during a campaign as compared to another during a fundraiser is done. The people up north are sick of being political pawns. Represent or there will be no re elect.
