You need to know the facts and not believe everything in a ERBB press release.

"The problem is that a county ordinance for unincorporated areas, including Nipton, bars all sales, distribution and production of cannabis, overriding the state’s recent move to legalize recreational marijuana."

"Lt. Sarkis Ohannessian of the San Bernardino County Sherriff’s Department, has a different view. He said the county counsel’s office sent American Green a letter on Aug. 9 six days after the announcement of the sale informing the company of the law and saying that it would address any violations with administrative citations and criminal enforcement if needed."

But here is the Incorporation killer:

"With that in mind, American Green said it plans to incorporate Nipton and then implement its own laws.

That won’t be easy. Incorporation of a community in California is a costly and complex process that can take years, said Kathleen Rollings-McDonald, spokeswoman for the Local Agency Formation Commission in San Bernardino County.

“State law requires a minimum of 500 registered voters and a minimum population of 10,000 residents in order to have a tax base to offset the costs of basic municipal needs such as law enforcement,” she said. “So due diligence appears to be a little short in this case.”

Plus, ERBB still owes Lang the owner of Nipton over $3 Million - which is a minimum of $150,000 per quarter for 5 years.

Nipton is basically a ghost town and that isn't going to change.

It looks like the WhistleTop Oasis Cafe is closed in Nipton.

Sorry - Nipton is a Bring Your Own Weed destination.
