Sorry, but I disagree. This is what I do for a living. You may have a different hard drive manufacturer or processor manufacturer, etc, but all the computer manufacturers do is assemble the parts that they all buy from the same component manufacturers.
Yes, there are cheaper models and more expensive models from each manufacturer, but if you buy similarly equipped computers they are all basically the same with interchangeable parts. Of course, the software that each manufacturer decides to install (or not install) can make a large difference in the performance of the machine.
