Ombow, Wow, long time no see/hear. Hope you are doing well. I agree with Bigworld concerning the crypto craze. The underlying technology, Blockchain or DLT/Distributed Ledger Technology, is going to be huge, but world currencies will still be dominated by 'trusted 3rd parties' like central banks and the IMF.
Jim Rickards says the IMF is already moving their SDR/Special Drawing Rights onto a Distributed Ledger platform, and countries like Russia and China are looking at blockchain/DLT as a way to bypass having to use the dollar.
Ultimately the independent cryptos like Bitcoin will once more be relegated to shady transactions on the dark web, like drug and arms transactions, etc.
For now though, cryptos are great vehicles for speculation. Jim Rickards calls them a fraud, Ponzi scheme, and bubble all wrapped into one, and Warren Buffett is right that it will all end badly. But for now the crypto casino is open and the hedge fund crowd is having a field day.
