Trade reporting has always been to the sixth digit, however the consolidated tape only showed the first four. Starting about 2 years ago those with level two can now see up to 6 digits just as FINRA in the past was able to see the 6 digits through Non Tape Transaction reports which weren’t available to the public.

But it has no effect on placing orders which is still limited to $.0001.
