Part of me feels that Viva doesn't really care about gaining subscribers, like most of you said, there should have been billboards, ads, booths at walmart etc... Not scrolling words on a screen at concerts. I can't tell you how many times I have been approached by Dish or Xfinity or Directv at a Walmart when I pass the electronics section. Yes it is annoying, but at least these companies are out there doing things to promote the company.
The Times Square ad is nice and all, but there are a lot of things going on on that corner in NYC. I had to spend 2 weeks in Times Square for work and all I did was look straight ahead and dodge clueless people taking selfies in front of Forever21 (yes a selfie in front of a stupid clothing store), tourists, fat Spiderman and other people dressed in stupid costumes.
The Facebook ads are great, but are they showing up on our feeds because we all looked at the Viva Facebook page or because we follow it? Is it showing up for everyone in the world? Also some of the comments people leave on the ads are ridiculous.
I would love to see ads on cabs, billboards, at sporting events, etc... I watched football this week using my Viva app. Put up banners at Soccer games (or Futbol games depending on where you are from). We have an ad agency, time to get out there.
I totally understand that commercials take a while to produce, you need to script, get bids from production companies, shoot the spot, edit the spot, buy air time, etc... I am happy we got Mr. Guzman, because he is an incredible talent.
They need to start getting more exposure out there. Us ihubbers know the company but there are so many others that don't know about Viva.
I feel like they are either trying to secure something else and I am not quite sure. Maybe a buy out or a merger, but Subscribers would sweeten the pot on that deal. I am a believer in OTTV and will not sell a single share, but something feels off.
