Some people actually believed in management (past tense), got taken by said management's broken promises over the last decade, and now hold in the off chance they luck out. Worst case is bankruptcy (a real possibility here)...and I've alraady written off my investment as a total loss...therefore anything I recoup is a bonus. Sometimes savvy investors sell off what is needed for tax loss purposes, holding back future losses to offset future gains in other stocks that actually return profit to shareholders. Right now, i can afford to sit on this worthless stock, I don't need to sell it, why take the loss when I don't need to?
