Role Summary:

The Sr Communications Manager - Media Relations role is responsible for the image and reputation of GE Additive – helping to establish the company as the leader in Additive Manufacturing. They will promote and protect the GE Additive brand, and ensure that GE Additive is represented positively and accurately in the media, financial community and with the public. The outcomes will be key messages that are heard widely and stories that resonate with target audiences.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Drive an increase in GE Additive visibility across print, broadcast and digital media – in the additive industry, target market industries, local, national and international media.
• Responsible for all external communications relating to news, announcements and stories, ensuring they achieve positive results
• Work with the GE Additive leadership team and the rest of the Communications team to build and execute a comprehensive Media and PR plan.
• Develop solid and trusting media relationships to ensure we have good access to channels and outlets that will help tell our story to reach our external target audiences.
• Accountable for setting and achieving Media & PR metrics – measuring success of our media and PR efforts.
• Lead the creation and development of business stories – highlighting GE Additive’s purpose, vision and value - that can be told on our own(ed) channels and also pitched successfully to media.
• Will be constantly looking around corners and evaluating emerging communications methods, ensuring that GE Additive are modern, contemporary, simple and efficient.
• PLEASE NOTE : Work location listed is West Chester, OH. However, this position is available and eligible for the following flexible work locations (FWL) -- Lichtenfels, Germany or Munich, Germany
