Yep its looking like there will be silicon upgrades to make a final fix to the intermediate software patches.

I'm not sure how any CPU design can be 'future proofed' with respect to virus applications. This one appears to be substantial but supposedly not implemented by the bad guys. I guess we will find out more on those details later.
Either way this will be another huge upgrade cycle. Perhaps similar to Y2K.
It makes me salivate just thinking about it!
