Do you think the older generation did things like that more often because there were no computers...and before that no television?
Do you also play chess? My brother...even my son played (before he started school!). They used to laugh at me because I couldn't learn but I got even with them in any card game we played.
I think it's a left brain thingy...or is it the right?
BTW, I've read that Whist was the forerunner for bridge. I found an old Ely Culbertson book at a garage sale...I believe that's where I read it.
