Basically here are the rules for now you need to know pick 3 stocks, all they have to do to qualify is be over .10 and trade over $7,500 dollar volume, which is to stop anyone from picking things with absurd lack of liquidity, the overwhelming amount of stock qualify.
so the only thing you misunderstood is the $7,500 pertains to the volume requirement a stock must have on average other then that all 3 stocks will be waited equally, I personally use and imaginary $1,000.00 for each position, for a total of $3,000.00 imaginary to start, but it really doesn't matter whether you use $500.00 a 1000.00 2000, 10,000 as long as they are equally weighted you will get the same % move at the end of the day, and the returns will be quoted in % terms during the contest.
