You cannot buy from brokerage firms. You have to buy through Crypto brokerage such as Binance or bitstamp.

1) Open an account with Coinbase and deposit cash.

2) Buy either Ethereum or Litecoin.

3) The send either of those purchases to Binance or Bitstamp to buy the Coins.

I know it takes little time to set up. But once you are set up, it hardly takes any time.
