The word "expected" is used appropriately in this case.
It was obviously expected due to the nature of the mechanism, and also of course since it was documented in preclinical animal studies, (originally posted here by misskatiescarletohara, maybe she forgot)- studies which also showed- as in humans, the same transient effect at doses higher than the maximum effective dose.
