LQD Today's (1/1/2018) 'Queen Bee'.
Earlier in the year it was JNK, but today LQD rules the colony.
Of my 18 possible pivot points comparing six different bond/gold asset classes over three different duration pivot points, LQD is 18 for 18...perfect fall.
A week ago TBX on the earliest of pivots spun off from LQD but has since rejoined the hive.
What's cool will be watching the spin off into the six other assets, two each for each of the other seasons: spring with TBX and JNK, summer with TIP and GLD, and winter with IEF and SJB.
At some critical point after spinning away from LQD the hive will swarm and a new 'queen bee' will be crowned.
From a temperature standpoint both summer/fall assets represent zero or half way between blistering hot +200 degree spring and a bone chilling -200 degree winter. Interesting that of the spring assets TBX is hotter than JNK and will given a 2x heat increase. On the winter side SJB is colder by 2x over IEF.
It follows that if TBX is 18/18 the temp would be +200, if JNK +100. If SJB 18/18 then -200, if IEF -100.
